Banyoles and Lake Banyoles - are situated 90km from Barcelona, 30km form Girona ( and airport ) and 45km from Costa Brava. The town dates back to 812AD and is regarded as the Capital of Catalonia Tourism, offering rowing, canoeing, swimming, cycling and Triathlon.

Lake Banyoles, or Estany de Banyoles is a natural lake fed by subterranean springs and has hosted many major rowing championships. It is also the home of the Catalonia Triathlon Championships, held annually.

Pla’d Estany - is a region of Catalonia which nestles at the foot of Serra de Rocacorba mountain range. Lake Banyoles lies 512 ft above sea level and is situated between Costa Brava and the Pyrenees and is surrounded by a natural forest and areas of historical interest.
